ゴールド 1 (フラワーコミックススペシャル)

Gold Vol. 1 - Kazuko Fujita, Ann Major TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE!

no

I tried so hard. I mean, I was going to give it all that I had---the premise seemed cool, it started off on an upward slope until the main character:
a) RANDOMLY HAS AN ACCIDENT (which is fine---it happens all the time in literature)
b) SOME CREEPER STEALS HER AWAY TO TURN HER INTO HIS PERFECT WOMAN (at this point I'm still hanging in there)
c) SAID CREEPER DOES ALL TYPES OF PLASTIC SURGERY ON HER TO TURN HER INTO. HIS. IDOL. THE. PROTAGONIST'S. MOTHER. (drifting further away)
d) HER FACE IS IDENTICAL TO THE HERO'S EVIL WIFE...

what

We than go through all these dramatic situations and staid characters trying to tear apart our lovers. It's like 90s manga at its finest.

I'm serious. It was almost laughable at character situations. The art was good---and even the adult scenes were tastefully drawn. My teenage self might have actually stuck with these characters. My adult self: ain't nobody got time for that.
