A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel - Hope Larson, Madeleine L'Engle Appeal Characteristics: IT'S THE VISUALIZATION OF OF A WRINKLE IN TIME! Reluctant Readers, great adaption

I struggled with this review. I went back and forth between stars. Hope Larson's illustrations for this classic work and adaptation is worthy of the buzz it's generating. I loved the literary beauty that L'Engle depicts in the original. I liked that if any person (like me) struggles with understanding time-space travel, and even what some of the characters may have looked like...this book helps! I appreciated what Larson did with the work, and the undertaking she went through to express this timeless story. I just wish there was a more "lush" feel in some of the scenes. My visual imagination was just waaaay over the top about this book...even after all these years, lol! I kept going...this is it?! I wonder if she drew that way to give an idea...and then we use the rest of "our imagination." Hrrrm...I think this is one of the best adaptations of a classic work turned into storytelling...I just wish that the drawings mimicked the beauty penned by L'Engle.
