Appeal Characteristics: Stylistic, Magical Realism/Almost Slice of Life, Drama, Ghosts, ImmigrantsI really liked the visual art. The big black bold lines with the grey/purplish feel...set the specific aura of the book. It was pretty cool to be introduced to a bit of Russian heritage, and immigration/immersion issues. I liked the premise...but I felt the ending fell flat. I guess I wanted the ghost to be "extra" scary....
